We have all been a victim from time to time of a lowered self worth and confidence. Our society send us daily messages on how we potentially don't measure up to the "best in class" of any particular area of life. As children we form a strong pattern of belief and one part of that strong pattern is self confidence and self worth. We measure ourselves through life events to gauge how we should be viewed. Even such events as losing the 3rd grade spelling bee, last to be selected for a backyard kickball game, to the cruel responses that children often dish out for each other. Our early childhood events shape much of our adult life and can overshadow who we have become. Have you ever felt inadequate, inept, out of place? These are often responses directly related to our self worth and self esteem.
